Nitrous Oxide (Laughing gas)

Nitrous oxide commonly known as laughing gas is used to achieve a calming effect when treatment is performed in office requiring numbing of the tooth with local anesthetic . Throughout the treatment your child remains alert and even has the opportunity to watch a movie while treatment is being performed . Nitrous oxide is extremly safe and will not render your child deeply sedated. At the end of the procedure nitrous oxide is easily eliminated by normal breathing and your child will be able to sit up and pick their prize with ease before leaving the office.
