COVID19 and Pediatric Dentistry

 Bigger is not always better

In the age of COVID19 parents want to know that their child will be safe when taking a trip to the pediatric dentist . If your child has already been to the dentist think about the environment at the dental office at their last dental appointment ? Was the waiting area filled with multiple rows of chairs ? Were there multiple receptionists  not socially distanced , multiple doctors, multiple staff members examining your child's teeth bustling around back and forth throughout the office? Were there shared waiting room play slides , Xbox toys or oversized tic-tac-toe games being used by multiple children as they entered  the waiting room area ?

Covid19 has change dental care for children and mandates that pediatric dentists especially change the way dental offices schedule patients and function daily. Large staff busy offices with multiple staff members interacting with patients should not exist in our new normal.
Our boutique pediatric dental practice is family-focused, slower paced and has always focused on one family at a time and will continue to do so to ensure the highest standard of care and safety for our patients especially during this time. If your child is age one or older and has never been to the dentist and you are seeking a pediatric dentist be sure to chose a practice that is seeing only one family at a time. We would love to have you join our family once we reopen within the next few weeks in Northwest, Washington, DC. We would be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Feel free to request an appointment via our website .
